In Pip's opinion Twinks are one of the best things in WoW, they're fun and great to play but who really cares about what i think? Wanna see a funny coincidence about the word tho? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twink_%28gay_slang%29

When I was a counselor in Ultima Onine, on the Aussie shard, whenever I left a call, I would always depart with *dances and poofs*. I had so many people laughing and saying that a "Poof" was an Aussie slang also for a gay. *LOL* I told them that I was just naturally happy!

Here's a response to someone on the wow general forums i responded to who complained that twinks was unfair. I think it pretty much covers why they exist and why people make them.. also highlights what i personally believe is wrong about wow. -------------------------------------------------------- The draw of twinking is to make a character that you can say to yourself "ok, this one is done.. finished... complete, i can't think of anything else that will make it better geared" .. something you can't do at lvl60,70,80 or whatever the max level cap will be, as has been reiterated over and over..
Belive it or not, but the chance of the normal player to ever catch up to anything when you hit lvl70 is ultra slim, with the only exception that some raid guild looks upon you with pity and decides to sponsor your runs to gear you up, saving you the runs through all the instances and *!#% you have to go through -before- you can even start thinking about the very last step in endgame gear ....
Even then you're looking at weeks of playtime if not more... and honestly, i doubt any raid guild would even do this, except if its one of those guilds that charges an enormous amount of gold for it ... which is fine, but theres rep to grind and dungeon attunments to get aswell... its weeks upon weeks of playtime, if not months... its a job, its tedious, boring and no fun at all, and it never ever ever ends because then new content gets added, changes are made and before you know it your gear is outdated and obsolete... thats the downside of a game like this, theres no end and no finale to anything you do at max level...
some would say its an good thing, some wont .. personally i dont really care, i play the game at a level which is possible for me.. not very über i might add.
Now, lets pretend that in a perfect world people could/would not twink.
Then a random straggler who is new to the game joins a BG at lvl20 ... a lvl29 two or three shots him still ... this will happen regardless of gear.
So now the lvl20 goes to forums and complains that the lvl29 have an unfair advantage in BGs.
See where im going with this?
Ultimatly what you're asking is that there are a BG bracket for every level, and for every level also a bracket based on gear.. to make it "fair".
Items are those other levels that you just have to accept are in the game... its not one dimentional, its at least 3 dimentional... level * gear * personal experience with game....
