I've been reading a lot about the changes going in and evaluating how things are going with raiding in our guild. One thing I think we need is a reliable Tank healer that is capable of keeping him up in the worst of times. So with that in mind I'm going to spec Biack into Disc Healing because with the improvements in this patch they will be better tank healers then even Holy Paladins which we are in short supply for right now.
Holy Priest specs are more to keep the raid topped off with their group heals. The new talents and boosts to the healing done by many of our spells in the holy tree will greatly improve group survival.
It probably will take me a few raids to get comfortable doing healing as a disc priest but once I'm there things will run much smoother for us.
One thing I'll probably have to do is change some gear out so expect me to be rolling on a few items just to round out my build in order to get me were i need to be stat wise.
