This is to outline some of the objectives, ideas, etc. for the Progression Team. I hope to have input from each of you who've received an ingame mail regarding this. Keep in mind that everything I'm listing here is ideas and suggestions, by myself and by others. Nothing is carved in granite.
The goals for this Team are to learn to work together cohesively as a unit, progress thru the various instances acquiring needed gear and experience, and most importantly to be able to run together in a positive manner and have fun!!! Qualifications for the Team were to have adequate gear, experience, ability to play your toon, the desire to progress, and the ability to get along with everyone else on the Team.
The Progression Team will consist of 12-15 people max. The reason for this number is so that we have enough people for the run even if someone has rl things that interfere with a particular run or if they don't feel like going one night. So far it is looking like Tues, Wed, Thurs are the best avail days for most people. I'd like to see us have our first run of the week be on Tuesday so that we can have followup on Wed or Thurs. Progression runs will be only 2 nights a week so there won't be burnout and so it won't totally interfere with other guild runs. The rest of the week is open for anything else anyone wants to do.
Each Team member will be allowed to have a maximum of 2 toons in the Team. This is for a couple of reasons. First, no one person can bring in several toons for gear continuously. Second, it will leave other alts available for other guild runs. And Third, it gives us availability for what classes are needed for each run.
We may still have signups on the calendar, however, they also are not a totality. Any Team member showing up at 10ST on a run night is entitled to go. Raid leaders will put together a group for the run that night based on who has signed up and/or who is online at run time.
All Team members are to be aware that they may not get to go that night, but rotations will be set up so that everyone has a chance to do everything overall. In other words, if you don't go on a run for ToC, the next time we run it you'll most likely be on the run. I'm hopeful that there is not a single member of this Team who will be upset or bent out of shape should they not be invited at times. Also, if you come online and just flat don't feel like going, that also should never be a problem.
Loot will be available to any Team member on a run, without stating "main" or "alt" since most members have alts that will be also running at times. It is the person who is a Team member, not a toon (keeping in mind again that only 2 toons per person will be on the Team). I would hope though that main spec will still take precedence over offspec.
Progression runs will include but are not limited to ToC, Ulduar, Ony, Vault and the new Icecrown.
I welcome any input from Team members regarding any of this or any other suggestions.
We will be beginning runs approximately December 8. Everyone will be notified either on calendar or ingame mail as soon as we have a set date for the first run.
Oh, and needless to say, I'm NOT raid leader! LOL Leaving that up to those far more qualified! Thanks for all the help I've had from several of you in putting this together!
