Well as you guys know we have had many people leave the guild in the last month, end game activity has essentially plummeted to nothing, and we have lost a couple of our long time raid leaders. The last couple months has been a bit rough on the guild. What is going on? when I came back there were 30 or more people regularly on and wanting to do things and now your lucky to get 5 people together. Even when we get groups together they usually end with people being frustrated or crabby. While this is a game there is something to remember.... People need to show each other respect. This one statement encompasses a wide variety of topics. I will list a few but will not get into it. obviously having good conversational manners. If someone is talking either let them finish or type it. Do not try to talk over someone else until they quit talking. The other big point is to be prepared for guild activities. If your one of the people complaining that you can't raid at least have the gear you can get from random heroics. Quite honestly If I was leading our raids I wouldn't allow anyone who wasn't mostly in 232 do anything in 10 man. The biggest issue we face at the moment is now that Doric is working we no longer have a solid source of leadership when we used to have people on, and as far as the raiding goes no one else seems to instill the confidence into the rest of the guild that he does. At this point I don't know what to do. I know very few of us even use these boards and this is an attempt to reach out to another SWP member to come up with a solution that we can move forward with. Until then I suppose I will just continue to spend more time on twisting nether.

I'm sorry to see things have fallen apart and i don't really see the guild as the problem so much as the game changing the way blizzard has changed it to being nothing but a loot whores dream in ez mode.
1. to fix a problem you have to isolate the problem: The problem is people don't want to wait on guild runs, they want to get it done themselves and not worry about helping out others in the guild that need the guild support to get it done.
2. People step up to run raids and get shat on: At some point and time anyone will say screw this, I'm tired of trying to devote my time to move forward when nobody else seems to give a shit about the way I have tried to schedule raids.
3. i want it now: Blizzard has designed their system to make it as easy as possible to get gear. They have taken out all the prerequisites of knowing how to play, and shifted focus to ez-gear gains.
So where am I going with these points.
Someone has to step up to lead the raids, and people need to start trusting them. Changing the way things are done is always troublesome but there are people in this guild that can get the job done, the guild just has to accept this and quit their fucking bitching.
I've been gone a while so I don't know who is there and who isn't but I'm pretty sure those still here are people that can be counted on, if asked, to help out. Just ask, see what they say. Everyone wants to raid, not everyone wants to raid 25 man (I didn't want to and hated it, but thats me). Everyone in the raid needs 2 things, to be geared and to know their class and role in said raid. Just having gear isn't enough, know what the hell is going on is what's needed.
I'm not sure what all your looking for here Laileb, other than to plead with the guild to stop the insanity and work together, and I don't know what advice to give being out of game other than what i said. Send me a PM if you wanrt to talk specifics more and I'll try to give you some ideas dude.

Well I don't say much very often and am usually quiet, unless I am drunk in vent. But I would like to give my .02
This game has two types of players and really two different levels, the PvE'r and PvP'r, with both having casual and hardcore play styles. I tend to be casual in both currently due to work, which will change after the holidays and I will be looking to raid weekly.
What I am getting at is we are losing people everyday, hell we lost 11 toons in the last 8 days. And Snap is right if you want to raid, have the damn gear. Remember that group that just hit 80 in blues and greens trying to finish H-HoL? They wiped numeropus times, becuase they didnt have enough Stam and DPS. If you want to raid and sign up, then your ass needs to get there and have respect for the other 9 or 24 people waiting on you. Real life happens, but remember that the other players are waiting too.
The Dungeon Finder tool is AWESOME!! But if we are going to raid and do things as a guild, then the players that sign up need to keep to that. I don't sign up because of work, but if I am online, I will help, with any toon. Also don't lock yourself to a raid you have signed up for and then say im locked, sorry. That is rude.
And lastly I have had a Vent Sever for the last week available for use, but I emailed Neve here and in-game to post the info. But no dice. So here it is:

Well what times are you available to raid Tol? Our 10 pm isn't locked in stone. Quite a few people have had schedule changes and I think we could either push it forward or back depending on the night. 10 is just what happened to work the best at the time we started raiding. Personally midnight works best for me.

Okay now everyone take a big massive deep breath. Everything is going to be okay. This time of year we have always had a big drop in participation in raiding. Its the time of year when we are all busy and hopefully taking more time to be with your family and friends. Once January gets here we will be firing up the raid schedule again and it is my wish we can do these raid with one thing in mind, having a hell of alot of fun with your online friends. Isn't that what it is supposed to be all about?
However there is some other problems that has impeded our fun and fellowship besides just the holiday season. Ive been noticing for some time now that we have alot of so called clicks in our guild. It wasn't meant to happen that way but neverless it has evolved to that point. When I've gotten on vent in the last 3 or months I've notice that if there is say 13 in vent that it will be split between 4 to 5 different vent channels and not just because they are in a run its just because they only want to talk to a select group of peeps within their click. Hell, if we cant even get together in vent as a guild how do we expect to get together for Raids, Heroics, PvP, or any other Guild Events.
Ive lost a very good friend of mine, or at least i thought of him as a friend, that was in SWP in what inevitably was just misunderstanding that could of been resolved by just coming to me and talking to me about it rather than letting it fester inside and rot away a good friendship. I don't think this person will ever speak to me again and the really tragic thing is it was totally unnecessary and i know had he talked to me before the blowup we still would be friends today. Why do i bring this up in this thread, I've notice a lot of the same interactions with other guildies now. Ive had whispers come to me about certain people that i know would be willing to listen if you would just give him half the chance to talk it out with you. Don't let a problem with someone eat you up, go to them and talk to them civilly about the issue as ADULTS not screaming kids. don't tell them hey i think u suck and this is the reason why, tell hey the other night i really was hurt by the way u talked to me and our friendship means enough to me that i want to talk to you about it and put it behind us. One thing about Snapdragon i have always admired is when he has a problem with something i said or did he would talk to me about it instead of keeping it inside. And likewise i would do the same to him.
Okay yes, we have had a lot of people leave the guild but we for the most part these were mostly the newer additions that was only in the guild for a few months. This just in, lol, we was raiding before they joined the guild and hmmm i bet we can do it again now that they are gone lol.
We also have some people that have been normally very active that are absolute no-shows as far as coming online to Staghelm and are running on other servers instead. Its probably because of frustrations regarding the raid situation but i hate to tell u this but this isn't helping. For my part I've noticed people i thought was my friend joining other servers and not even bothering to come on and say hi to us, makes me feel like the friendship was only one-way, so i would say it probably makes others feel the same way.
Enough of that crap!!! lol
So what now. Start the schedule up once again first week of January. Start picking up new members, help other guildies get the gear and raid experience to continue to progress(a great idea by Shane). That my mean putting ICC on back burner for a while well so be it. If we are having fun running others in older raids then we are doing what is right anyway. BUT MOST OF ALL LETS ALL STOP THE BITCHING AND BICKERING AND LETS JUST HAVE FUN FUN FUN!!!
By the way, I truly believe this is still the best guild out there.

Personaly while my accountis still active and I do pop online from time to time to say hey I have been kinda burned out on WoW. I'm just doing other things around the house while I wait for Star Trek Online.
STO will become my main MMO. But I still have a soft spot for WoW. I am excited about the new WoW expansion. So I really can't say if I will eventualy give up on WoW. It'll all depend on how wellSTO does.
